Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia Table Will Be Garden-to-Table

We just don't know how they do it. Joanna and Chip Gaines are managing a little empire down in Waco, Texas. Following the success of HGTV's "Fixer Upper," the couple has since opened Magnolia Market at The Silos, The Silos Baking Co., and is now in the process of renovating Waco's former Elite Cafe. The new name for the historic restaurant is Magnolia Table, and we have one more reason to be excited about it.

Even though JoJo is pregnant with the couple's fifth child and fighting off the most Southern pregnancy cravings ever, she still manages to run a tight ship at home, including a flourishing garden. Recently, the star posted a photo of the sprawling garden on the family farm with an exciting announcement.

We knew that breakfast would certainly be on the menu at Magnolia Table, especially since Chip is such a fan, but now it seems that the restaurant will be garden-to-table. Not just any garden, either, but the Gaines' own garden on their farm.

The restaurant date is fast approaching, with some believing it could open as early as the last week of February. Registered as a historic landmark by the Texas Historical Commission, you can expect to find as much history in the walls since the building was established in 1919.

So what will the new restaurant serve up? Here are a few clues on the menu items we've gotten from Joanna's social media progress on the renovations.

  • Homemade biscuits with local jams and butters
  • Farm Eggs Benedict (perhaps from the Gaines' own farm?)
  • Chip's Famous Ham Sandwich
  • The Gaines Brothers Burger
  • Homemade pies
  • House-made tater tots
  • Cinnamon rolls
  • Gorgeous fruit cups
  • Simple greens salads

Opening a breakfast joint has always been Chip's dream, and this place is already shaping up to be the go-to spot for Sunday brunches with its many breakfast items. While the bakery is more Joanna's speed, Chip's influence runs through Magnolia Table.

The big giant kitchen inside will serve up a bigger breakfast than you could probably imagine, making the hard work and elbow grease that the Gaines put into the property so worth it.

While some were upset that the couple changed the name of the Waco icon, others feel the exact opposite — they don't mind as long as the original character of the property is preserved.

For now, keep track of Joanna's sneak peeks through her Instagram posts as the HGTV stars round the corner on the construction project. I can just taste the Farm Eggs Benedict already.
