On Friday, April 20, Maren Morris stepped out onto the ice to start the Nashville Predators' game off right with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.
Starting last year, the Nashville Predators playoff games have begun with major country stars singing "The Star-Spangled Banner." So far this season, Rascal Flatts brought their trio of voices and Brad Paisley brought his guitar to the stage before the home games of the playoffs.
Morris' version of the "The Star-Spangled Banner" differed from the previous two renditions this year, reflecting the variations in today's popular country music. Wearing her own yellow Nashville Predators jersey, Morris chose to sing solo and acapella.

As she crescendoed into the bolder parts of the song, there was no worry as to whether or not she would flawlessly hit the high notes. She sang with precision and heart and without an over-the-top performance, letting the anthem shine along with her stunning voice.
Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Maren Morris all ushered in a winning game for the Predators. On Friday, the team beat the Colorado Avalanche 5 to 0. Hopefully the winning streak continues as the next surprise country performer takes the stage/ice to make America proud.
