"Growing up in rural Missouri farm country, family farmers were a big part of our community,"  Rateliff, a Hermann, Mo. native, said in a statement. "I am proud to play on the Farm Aid stage again, especially in Western Pennsylvania, where agriculture is at the heart of the community."

Rateliff released his eponymous debut album in 2015 to rave reviews. Since then, he released his followup EP, A Little Something More From Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats.

Margo Price is also a small town girl. She hails from Buffalo Prairie, Ill., and her rural roots are reflected in her album Midwest Farmer's Daughter. More recently, she released Weakness, a four-track EP that was enthusiastically received in the music world.

This year, Farm Aid is taking place in Pennsylvania on Sep. 16 and it's already sold out. The lineup also includes Jamey Johnson, Sheryl Crow, the Avett Brothers and more. Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Melencamp and Neil Young will also perform.

Farm Aid is an annual benefit concert that was started in 1985 to raise funds during the farm crisis of the 1980s. The organization introduced their first ever film this year, Homeplace Under Fire. It's a 30 minute documentary on the grassroots activists who stepped up to fight for farmers during that time period.
