Mariska Hargitay's longtime friendship with Taylor Swift goes beyond the longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star and her 12-year-old daughter, Amaya, making the list for The Eras Tour concert film's Oct. 11 premiere in Hollywood.

"I met her at the Met Gala, okay, and I was so uncool. And she's down there, she's like, 'Hi, I like your show!' And I'm like, 'Oh thanks!' And I didn't know that she was like the second coming, right?" Hargitay shared during a 2015 appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers. "But she was so sweet."
Soon after, Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, needed a way home following a Swift concert in New York City.
"She was like a little angel that goes, 'Oh, do you guys need a ride?' And I was like, 'Oh no, why?'" Hargitay told Myers. "And then she drove us home, and that was the end of it."
After that bonding experience, Swift recruited Hargitay to star in the "Bad Blood" music video alongside Zendaya, Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba and other celebs. In 2015, Hargitay joined Swift onstage when the latter accepted the VMA for Video of the Year.
"I got a text from [Swift] one day, and she said, 'Do you want to be in my video?'" Hargitay told Andy Cohen in 2015. "I didn't know what to expect, but they [the other women in the video] were so lovely and inclusive, and I had so much fun with them."
The queen of the Swifties is enough of an SVU stan that she named her Scottish fold cat after Hargitay's character, Olivia Benson.
Hargitay's appearance on the Eras Tour film premiere's red carpet made for some meme-ready comments from Swifties who, joking or not, shared confusion over the origin of the Benson name.
Swift also has a Scottish fold named Meredith Gray after Ellen Pompeo's Grey's Anatomy character and a ragdoll named Benjamin Button, after the titular character in the 2008 Brad Pitt film.
