Your favorite coffee just got a little bit cheaper thanks to McCafé over at McDonald's. The fast food giant, which has been serving up McCafé specialty coffees since 1993, has recently introduced two new cold brew frozen coffee drinks, perfect for the summer heat. The cold brew coffee drinks come either as a Cold Brew Frozen Coffee or Cold Brew Frappe. Drink your heart out Starbucks.

Cold brew, which brews coffee in cold water over 12-24 hours, is the newest coffee craze. It's smoother and less acidic than normal brewed coffee, making it perfect for sensitive tummies.

The Cold Brew Frozen Coffee is a strong drink. Cold brew extract is blended with ice to make a creamy frozen drink. But if you are looking for something a bit more decadent, the Cold Brew Frappe is just for you. Starting with the Cold Brew Frozen Coffee as its base, the Frappe is topped off with light whipped cream and a sinful chocolate drizzle. Customers also have the choice to add additional toppings like Oreo crumbs or a caramel drizzle.

The cold brew frozen drinks join favorites like the Caramel Macchiato and and Iced Turtle Macchiato on the McCafé menu. Like all small McCafé espresso drinks, the new cold brew beverages will be $2. However you better head over to your local McDonald's fast, there's no knowing how long these cold brew beverages will stay on the menu.

Some coffee aficionados are questioning the new coffee drinks. According to the nutrition calculator on the McDonald's website, the first three ingredients in the drink is cream, skim milk and sugar. The cold brew coffee extract is ingredient number four followed by caramel color, dipotassium phosphate, guar gum and tripotassium citrate. We suggest trying it out for yourself.
