The auction house lists the starting bid at $150,000, with a buy-now price of $225,000. To keep the price in perspective, tour buses usually go for upwards of $300,000 and beyond, and none of them have a backstory as unique as this one.
Despite being 12 years old, the Super Chief is still in excellent condition. Let's take a look at what this rare piece of country music memorabilia has inside.
Haggard chose the name Super Chief, and had the name embroidered on almost every inch of the bus.
Once inside, you'll find everything you need for a home away from home, including a full kitchenette and cozy lounge area with satellite television and surround sound.
The bus comes with a master bedroom in the back, which the country legend used while on the road. You'll aslo find four bunks, in case you want to take a band, your family or buddies on the road with you.
Our favorite feature is a train horn, taken from the historical Santa Fe Railway. Haggard had the handle for the horn installed right next to the front seat, where he would spend hours while riding from show to show.
If you want to set up a personal tour of the bus, give San Antonio Auto Auctions a call at 201-298-5477 or send them an email.
They will also take offers by phone and can deliver the bus to anywhere in the contiguous U.S.
