It's time once again to revisit a rule of etiquette for Miranda Lambert's live show: Keep your beach balls at home.
Footage posted Sunday (Sept. 1) by Twitter user @karadodge shows Lambert slash open a beach ball during her Aug. 30 appearance at the Allentown Fair in Pennsylvania
"I love y'all, but we're not at the damn beach," Lambert said from stage. "We're singing country music tonight."
Although she smiled throughout the process of destroying a toy, Lambert seems to genuinely hate the presence of beach balls at concerts.
"This one guy hit me in the face during 'Gunpowder and Lead' at one arena out with Kenny (Chesney) with this giant beach ball, and that's when I decided ... I had actually popped that ball with the heel of my shoe, but I started keeping a knife on the drum riser for occasions just like that!," she told Dial-Global (per The Boot) back in 2009.

Lambert has used her ball-busting knife at least twice now. A similar incident occurred at a 2016 show in Indianapolis, Ind.
"I just feel like people are so distracted from the music when they're trying to worry about a beach ball hitting them in the head and bouncing around like a volleyball," Lambert added in her Dial-Global interview. "And people down front get hit in the back of the head, because they don't see it coming."
Lambert's Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour returns in September and runs through late November. Come out to see all-woman lineups featuring Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde and Elle King, but don't bother bringing a beach ball if you want it back in one piece.
