Miranda Lambert and her mom Bev Lambert are among the celebrity-celebrity parent pairings to be featured on the new series From Cradle to Stage, an upcoming six-part series on Paramount+ about musicians and the moms who encouraged their dreams.
The show, which premieres on May 6 (just in time for Mother's Day, is the brainchild of Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his mom Virginia Hanlon Grohl, who literally wrote the book on rock star moms: From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars.
"I believe that the relationship between a musician and their mother is so important because it's the foundation of their understanding of love, which is surely every artist's greatest muse," Grohl said in a statement. "Having the opportunity to travel the country and tell the stories of these amazing women behind the curtain not only shed some light on the music that they inspired, but also made me appreciate the love that I was given from my own mother, my best friend. It goes without saying that we are all indebted to the women who have given us life. For without them, there would be no music."
The show will also feature famous musicians, Brandi Carlile, Geddy Lee (of Rush), Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine), Dan Reynolds (of Imagine Dragons) and Pharrell Williams, along with their moms.
Bev Lambert was interviewed in Virgina Hanlon Grohl's book, in which she discussed how a young Miranda Lambert helped out her parents when they were working as private investigators.

According to Deadline, the episode featuring the Lamberts will air on May 20. The episode featuring Brandi Carlile and her mom Teresa will air on May 27.
Lambert has always been open about the impact her mom had on her life. During the 2020 Country Radio Seminar, Lambert reflected on trying out for Nashville Star twice and how her mom encouraged her to give the audition her all.
"I sang 'Still the One' by Shania Twain, which I love. But I didn't execute it. It was because I didn't try. I didn't want to be there. My mom got in the car and she wouldn't start the car. She was just sitting there...She was like 'You didn't give anything. I've given everything. I've driven you all over this state, spent all this gas money and you went in there and didn't try. That's not fair to me — you're doing it again in Houston.' So she signed me up to audition in Houston," Lambert said. "I went in with a different attitude. I realized that this could catapult me into getting out of smoke-filled bars. I sang 'Crazy' a cappella and that changed the game."
Miranda and Bev Lambert also run the MuttNation Foundation, which benefits rescue and shelter pets.
Lambert performed three times during the 2021 ACM Awards. She opened the show with duet partner Elle King for a rousing performance of "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)." She later performed the heartbreaking "Maggie's Song" with Chris Stapleton and joined fellow Texans Jon Randall and Jack Ingram for "In His Arms" from the forthcoming album The Marfa Tapes.
