Chick-fil-A did a beautiful thing for a fallen police officer in Orlando earlier this month.

According to WPVI-TV, Officer Norman Lewis died on Monday (Jan. 23) while working in the line of duty. Lewis was killed in a car crash while looking for a man that was wanted for the murder of Orlando policewoman Master Sgt. Debra Clayton. Lewis was a veteran of the force and had been with them for 11 years.
The officer was a regular at the University Boulevard at Rouse Road Chick-fil-A location in Orlando. When the chain heard about his death, they decided to honor him with what they called a Missing Man Table. The table had a crisp white tablecloth draped over it, a Bible, a single rose and a candle. In a black frame, they featured a note that honors his name.
The restaurant also included Lewis' favorite Chick-fil-A meal on the table: a container for nuggets and an empty fruit cup. It may be a small gesture, but it's a truly thoughtful way to honor the fallen officer.
"In honor and remembrance of Orange County Deputy First Class Norman Lewis, a regular at our restaurant who's smiling face will be truly missed. Thanks is not enough for what brave men and women like Norm sacrifice for our safety every day."
A GoFundMe has also been created to help Lewis' parents "for their sudden upcoming expenses." The fundraiser has been very successful. Their goal was set at $30,000 and they've already raised over $44,000.
