Mars Announces New M&M's Chocolate Bars That We Can't Wait to Try

There's some pretty major candy news today, with Mars, Incorporated announcing a new M&M's flavor and a new candy bar. That's right, soon you'll be able to buy M&M chocolate bars along with your pack of M&M's candy.

The new M&M chocolate bars will be available starting in December (just in time for the holiday season). The candy bars are smooth milk chocolate with mini M&M's sprinkled throughout. All the different M&M varieties are getting in on the chocolate bar game; you'll be able to find all five flavor varieties of Milk Chocolate, Crispy, Almond, Crispy Mint, and Peanut M&M's in bar form.

Then beginning in April 2019, Mars is introducing M&M's Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies. The new candy has a hazelnut spread center, covered in delicious milk chocolate and the traditional colorful candy shell. Look for the bright teal bag in different sizes.

"The industry is changing and consumer tastes are evolving. We're continuing to recognize and anticipate demand. We're excited to debut M&M's Chocolate Bars and know that our M&M's fans and chocolate bar lovers alike will appreciate the delicious taste that comes from our rich and creamy chocolate," said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, senior brand director, M&M's Brand. "We're equally passionate for the launch of M&M's Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies next year. We're thrilled to deliver this new flavor with color and fun, in a way that only M&M's can."

Both the new M&M's Chocolate Bars and the M&M's Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies will be sold nationwide. And it looks like they are around for good instead of being a limited edition thing.

M&M's regularly introduces new flavors; last week we told you about the international-inspired flavors the company plans to roll out next year in their annual flavor contest. But while candy bars aren't new to the Mars chocolate company, they're new for M&M's. Given how we like to add M&M's to pretty much anything, we're looking forward to trying this new milk chocolate candy treat.
