There's a murderer afoot, and once again, it's up to the well-intentioned (but always misguided) podcasters of the Arconia to solve the case.

Hulu's Only Murders in the Building premiered in 2021, following a trio of neighbors who realize they all listen to the same true crime podcast. But when another building resident is brutally killed, their innocent shared hobby quickly escalates into a full-fledged investigation as they search for the killer—and start a podcast of their own.
With a star-studded cast that includes huge talents like Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, as well as tons of A-list surprises along the way, it's no wonder the comedy mystery is a mega-hit. Since its release, OMINB has received multiple Emmy nominations and other accolades, as well as a very dedicated fanbase who are eagerly awaiting the third season.
According to Deadline, the upcoming mystery surrounds the shocking on-stage death of the leading man of a Broadway show. While Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are more than ready to take the case on, they quickly realize it'll be their toughest one yet. "It's going to be a big season," executive producer Dan Fogelman told Entertainment Tonight, and a quick look at the upcoming cast list tells us that he's not kidding.
Let's take a look at who we can expect to see in Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building.
Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage
The Emmy-winning actor returns to his role as Charles-Haden Savage, a retired actor who is still riding on his fame as the star of a 90s crime drama. Surprisingly enough, this is Martin's longest TV role to date—though you may better recognize him from classic films like Father of the Bride and Pink Panther.
Martin Short as Oliver Putnam
Bringing his zany humor and over-the-top shenanigans, Martin Short plays Oliver Putnam, a former Broadway producer who's still picking up the pieces of his career after a dramatic fall from grace. The Emmy-winning actor is well known for his roles in films like Innerspace and the Father of the Bride franchise, as well as being a regular on Saturday Night Live.
Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora
Completing the trio of podcasters is singer and actress Selena Gomez, who plays Mabel Mora. The multi-talented star is no stranger to acting—having long graduated her part on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place—but her role as the moody Mabel is easily one of her best yet.
Paul Rudd as Ben Glenroy
Perhaps the most exciting piece of OMINB news is the addition of Paul Rudd. The Ant-Man actor will guest-star as Ben Glenroy: the star of Oliver's redemption Broadway play—and the murder victim. While it's clear from the Season 3 trailer that Ben's death is the focus of the mystery, it looks like Rudd will get plenty of airtime via flashbacks.
Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin
Another totally shocking (and totally awesome) casting announcement is that of Meryl Streep. The three-time Oscar winner will play Loretta Durkin, another cast member of Oliver's play—and a possible suspect. Streep committing homicide may be hard to believe, but what's even more outlandish is her playing a character who's supposedly bad at acting.
Ashley Park as Kimber
She may not have a big, recognizable name like her co-stars (yet, at least), but if you're a fan of Emly in Paris or Beef, you'll be thrilled to see Ashley Park join the cast. The Broadway alum plays Kimber, the TikTok-obsessed leading lady of the show who is also a suspect.
Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Williams
Fans of the sarcastic Detective Williams who never had time for our trio's nonsense will be happy to know that actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph will be back for Season 3. We don't know much about what her character will be up to, but she'll likely have the same annoyed yet somewhat accommodative attitude towards the amateur sleuths.
Jackie Hoffman as Uma Heller
Every building needs a sardonic resident who always has something to say, and that's where Jackie Hoffman comes in. The comic actor returns as Uma Heller, the gossipy neighbor who is always ready to give her two cents about everything (and everyone).
Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris
Another Arconia resident, Howard's eccentric, cat-loving character persona and penchant for gossip will return in Season 3. He's played by Michael Cyril Creighton, an actor best known for his work on popular shows like High Maintenance and Dexter: New Blood.
Tina Fey as Cinda Canning
Who can forget the narcissistic podcaster who inspired it all? Actress Tiny Fey returns for her portrayal as Cinda Canning, the famed host of Not OK in Oklahoma, who will do anything to get the scoop on a story.
Jane Lynch as Sazz Pataki
Watching Jane Lynch play Charles' pork-pie hat-wearing stunt double is always a treat. The Emmy-winning actress, who has starred in shows like Glee and films like Role Models, returns to her role as Sazz Pataki in the upcoming season.
Jesse Williams as Tobert
We don't exactly know who he is or if he's a suspect (isn't everyone a suspect?), but Tobert is a new addition—and potential love interest for Mabel. Jesse Williams, best known for his roles in Grey's Anatomy and The Cabin in the Woods, will play the mysterious character.
Jeremy Shamos
Also joining the Season 3 cast is actor Jeremy Shamos. His role is being kept under wraps, but he most recently guest starred in series like Dead Ringers, The Handmaid's Tales and Better Call Saul.
Linda Emond and Wesley Taylor
Another mystery character will be played by Linda Emond. More will soon be revealed about her role on OMITB, but you may have seen her in The Patient or Succession. The final unknown character will be taken on by Wesley Taylor. The Broadway actor is best known for his roles in Smash, and It Could Be Worse.
Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building premieres on Hulu on August 8.
