Thirsty for a something original this holiday season? Try out this recipe for peppermint moonshine. Okay, it's not real moonshine -- we use everclear in this mix -- but it's a delicious substitute, and it's super easy to make.

For this recipe you'll need:
- Candy canes
- 3.5 cups water
- 2.5 cups sugar
- 1 pint everclear
Blend the candy canes into a powder. Boil the water. Add the candy canes and stir in sugar. Cook until liquid is bright red. Remove from the heat and put pot in the fridge to cool. Once chilled, remove the pot and stir in everclear. Serve in a mason jar.
