How to Make Pigs in a Blanket with Cheese

Pigs in a blanket with cheese are almost exactly the same as the ones without when it comes to cooking the snack. You're going to need a can of crescent roll dough like the ones made by Pillsbury plus the hot dogs, cocktail wieners, little smokies, or cheese dogs that you personally prefer in the appetizer.

But you're also going to add another ingredient: shredded cheese. It can be cheddar cheese or sharp cheddar, parmesan, provolone, mozzarella, or even a jalapeno blend if you want to spice up the snack a little bit. Pepper jack could also be a good choice if you want to add a little zing to the dish.

To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees, then lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Then, roll out your refrigerated croissant dough and pinch it together if they're in sections. Cut those into strips, then put just a bit of whatever shredded cheese you wanted on the edge of each one before putting a cocktail wiener/hot dog/smokie, etc. on them. Roll the little "piggies" up, then place them on your baking sheet with the seam side down.

You're going to back them for around 15 minutes, but check as the timer runs low to see if the crescent dogs have reached the desired golden brown color you'd prefer. Once they're ready, take them out and serve with whatever dip you'd like.
