To celebrate the official beginning of summer, the United States Postal Service has a set of brand new postage stamps which will delight kids and adults alike. The Frozen Treats Forever stamps are the first scratch-and-sniff stamps ever released by the Postal Service.

The new stamps feature frosty, colorful, icy pops on a stick in a variety of shapes and flavors and have the "sweet smell of summer." This booklet of 20 stamps showcases the work of Margaret Berg of Santa Monica, California, depicting whimsical watercolor illustrations of frozen treats.
The first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony is free and open to the public. It will take place at 6 p.m. CDT at Austin's Thinkery Children's Museum. Followers of the U.S. Postal Service's Facebook page can view the ceremony live at facebook.com/USPS. You can also share your thoughts on the scratch-and-sniff stamps using the hashtag #FrozenTreatsStamps.
Each of the 10 stamp designs includes two different treats. The words "FOREVER" and "USA" appear along the bottom of each stamp. The Frozen Treats stamp is being issued as First-Class Mail Forever stamps which will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price.
If you can't wait until June 20 to get your stamps at the post office, you can preorder them here (though you'll still have to wait until the stamps are released for delivery).
The Frozen Treats Forever stamps aren't the only new postage stamps from the Post Office. The Sally Ride Forever stamp was also released this week, commemorating American astronaut Sally Ride.
