Heartbreak and country music have always gone hand in hand. With their brand new song "Lonely For You Only," country trio Midland channels the hurts-so-good heartache of golden era honky-tonk ballads.

Co-written by band members Jess Carson, Cameron Duddy and Mark Wystrach, alongside superstar songwriters Rhett Akins and Josh Osborne, "Lonely For You Only" follows the struggle to simply get by after a bad breakup. Lead singer Wystrach perfectly channels the feelings of sorrow and regret that tend to spill out after one (or five) too many. The slow-rolling guitar and percussion drive it all forward, creating a beat that even the saddest barfly couldn't resist tapping a toe to.
Wide Open Country is excited to premiere "Lonely For You Only" from Midland's upcoming debut record, On The Rocks, out this Friday (Sept. 22).
On The Rocks will feature the band's breakout debut single, "Drinkin' Problem", and 12 more cuts, all co-written by Carson, Duddy and Wystrach.
