During a Q&A session at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, the 78-year-old actress confirmed the long-standing rumor that she had made a commitment not to marry again as long as her ex-husband was alive.

She explained to People Magazine, "I just don't think that he could handle that," referring to the late rock music icon, whom she was married to from 1967 to 1973.

Although Elvis passed away in 1977, Priscilla honored her promise for the past four decades. She disclosed, "To be honest with you, I never wanted to marry after him. I never had any desire. No one could ever match him."

Priscilla also shed light on why she and Elvis opted not to have more children after welcoming their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in 1968. She told the audience, "Elvis felt he had a very busy schedule and he did have a bit of guilt that he wasn't around that much when Lisa was younger. With his scheduling and his touring, he just felt he wasn't around enough to give a lot of attention to having another child."

Priscilla also shared insight into what initially attracted her to Elvis, notably his sharp sense of humor. Their first encounter occurred at a gathering in West Germany back in 1959 when she was just 14 years old, while he was 24.

Describing his captivating presence, she recalled, "He would walk into the room and it was like, 'Whoa.' I mean, he didn't realize what he had as far as his appearance or what he felt or his charisma, but there was a few times when he came around and he said, 'Damn, I'm good looking,' kiddingly, when he would be in his bathroom and he would be getting ready to go somewhere. But he had a great sense of humor."

She also recalled his generosity. One time, she explained, he drove by a car dealership and saw a woman looking at cars. He approached and bought her a brand-new blue Cadillac on the spot.

Priscilla worked closely with director Sophia Coppola for the new biopic about her life, "Priscilla," which premiered in theaters on October 27.
