Willie Nelson, Trace Adkins Coming to 'Real Country' Singing Competition

On November 13 on the USA Network, a new reality singing competition called Real Country will bring together country music superstars and talented, hopeful competitors in a series of showcases that are meant to celebrate country music, and hopefully, find the next big country music megastar.

The USA Network recently announced that Trace Adkins, Big & Rich and Wynonna Judd will appear as celebrity guests on the show. Each will have their own episode where they help guide the teams that coaches Shania Twain, Jake Owen and Travis Tritt have compiled.

News has also spread that Willie Nelson will be a very special guest star on Real Country. Perhaps there will be an episode dedicated to his music? Or maybe he will come in and surprise the contestants with advice only an outlaw legend could give? No matter how he participates, it's guaranteed that his presence will be held in high esteem.

In addition to the iconic country stars and contestants (who can compete as solo artists, duos or groups), Los Angeles morning DJ Graham Bunn from Go Country 105 will take the reigns as host of Real Country. Bunn isn't new to TV competitions as he was a contestant on DeAnna Pappas' season of The Bachelor and made appearances on Bachelor Pad and Bachelor in Paradise.

It appears that Real Country will be pre-recorded since the USA Network website lists several dates occurring in late August and early September where country music fans can attend the live shows in downtown Nashville.

The network writes, "It's all up to YOU, the audience and die-hard Country FANS to help us decide who is REAL COUNTRY across a night of amazing music, hot food, cold beer, huge prize giveaways and surprise celebrity A-List Country stars!" Free tickets are already up for grabs for those interested in catching Real Country in person during its first season.
