What Country Fans Can Expect from Jason Aldean’s 'Rearview Town'

Country music fans should mark their calendars for April 13. That's when you can grab Jason Aldean's Rearview Town as soon as it hits the shelves. The new album follows up his Sept. 2016 release, They Don't Know, and it marks the first new music Aldean has produced after the Las Vegas shooting on Oct. 1 during his performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Looking Forward and in the Rearview

Like his previous seven studio albums, Aldean is releasing Rearview Town with Broken Bow Records. Fans expect to hear Aldean's signature pop-country style mixed with rap and rock, but he'll also be mixing it up a bit to tap into his personal history as a musician.

"Growing up in Macon, Ga., I had a chance to learn about so many different styles of music," Aldean said in a statement. "Looking back on first playing in bands as a teenager, I was just soaking everything up. A lot of that comes out on this record...where I've been, and who I am now."

Aldean already released the album's first new single, "You Make It Easy," in late January. The bluesy song was co-written with members of Florida Georgia Line and resulted in a series of three short-film music videos. Aldean is clearly drawing from the emotions evoked by the love of his life and wife Brittany Kerr. The pair married in March 2015.

Aldean has also hinted about a duet on the new record during an interview on the Ty, Kelly & Chuck radio show. It won't be with his wife, nor future tour-mate Lauren Alaina, but it will be with a female vocalist.

Plan Your Purchase

The upcoming album (to be released on April 13) is already available for pre-order on Aldean's website. Customers can choose between a digital download, vinyl, a CD or a bundle including all three versions.

To promote the new record, Aldean will hit the road on the 34-city High Noon Neon Tour starting in May with openers Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.

"We named this tour after a song that'll be on my next record. It reminds me of the bars I grew up playing in Georgia when I was getting started," Aldean said in a statement. "We're going to bring some of that raw energy out this summer with Luke and Lauren - I know we're all ready."

Fans should look out for presale codes if they're a part of the fan club, the Aldean Army. Ticket information is available here.
