Reba McEntire Honors Late Band Members With Concert Special

Reba McEntire is honoring her late band members, who passed away in a plane crash in 1991. The country legend' is sharing her 1990 concert special Reba in Concert, which was filmed in 1990 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The concert, which streams on YouTube on August 28 at 7:30 CT, features McEntire's late band members.

The 1990 concert features "Can't Even Get the Blues," "Somebody Should Leave," "Little Rock" and "Fancy."

McEntire previously released her 1994 concert Reba: Live.

Jim Hammon (Tour Manager), Kirk Cappello (Music Director and Keyboard), Chris Austin (Fiddle/Guitar/Vocals) Joey Cigainero (Keyboard), Paula Kaye Evans (Vocals), Terry Jackson (Bass), Tony Saputo (Drums) and Michael Thomas (Guitar) passed away in a March 16, 1991 plane crash.

When McEntire won the ACM award for Female Vocalist of the Year in 1991, she dedicated the award to her band members.

"This is for my eight buddies," McEntire said through tears. "I know they're grinning up there knowing they've had so many friends on earth."

McEntire will re-release her iconic album Rumor Has It on September 11 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the record.

McEntire rescheduled her arena tour to the summer of 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tour is now set to kick off on July 8, 2021.
