Add Reba McEntire to the list of country stars launching their own podcast. The country superstar and Kennedy Center Honors recipient is partnering with Spotify to release a new podcast, which will feature McEntire in conversation with special guests.

McEntire told Billboard that she views the podcast, which is set to premiere in 2020, as an extension of her career as a storyteller.

"I've always been a storyteller — I've made a career out of story songs," McEntire told Billboard. "A great podcast, just like a great country song, tells a story. So when Spotify asked if I would be interested in partnering with them to do this, I thought it was a great idea because it gave me a new way to continue being that storyteller."

The singer-songwriter told Billboard she's a fan of podcasts such as Jesus Calling, Oprah's Master Class: the Podcast, Hunter Kelly and Ashley Eicher's All Our Favorite People and the newly released Dolly Parton's America.

Longtime fans of Reba know that a podcast is the perfect platform for the Oklahoma native to showcase her trademark wit and personal thoughts.

"I am so excited to be partnering with Spotify on my new podcast and I'm even more excited to be connecting with my fans in a way I haven't done before," McEntire said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to sharing some of what I've learned from my own life challenges and hopefully learning more along the way."

Several country stars have entered the podcast realm as of late. Texas trio Midland launched Set it Straight With Midland, which focuses on country music history. Martina McBride's Vocal Point with Martina McBride features interviews with Garth Brooks, Loretta Lynn and more. Last spring, Robert Earl Keen debuted his Americana Podcast: the 51st State, which features interviews with Americana artists about the intersections of their musical interests.
