In a lengthy feature for Vanity Fair, Riley Keough discusses her experiences growing up around celebrities ranging from former step-dad Michael Jackson to longtime friend Kristen Stewart. Talk with journalist Britt Hennemuth briefly turned to another celebrity step-parent: Nicolas Cage, the spouse of the late Lisa Marie Presley for four months in 2002.

"He's a great actor," Keough said. "I've had some wild stepfathers. Famous and not famous."
Though she hasn't stayed in touch with him, Keough said she would jump at the opportunity to make a movie with Cage.
Keough went deep into her personal life, revealing her health struggles and sharing for the first time the name of her child, Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen.
"I have Lyme disease," Keough shared. "I used this little break [in between projects] that I have to come and try and see if I can alleviate it a bit. It's a holistic treatment center and offers all kinds of things that you can't really do in America yet, like cleaning your blood."
In one of the more touching excerpts, Keough summed up her thoughts about her late mother.
"She was just so unapologetically herself in every circumstance, and so strong," Keough shared. "The life she had was not easy, and the treachery she endured and the lack of real love and real friends.... She definitely had some great friends and relationships in her life, but I don't think she really ever had.... People were just coming for her since she was born—wanting something from her and not being totally authentic. She had to develop very thick skin. She was a very powerful presence and extremely loving and extremely loyal and sort of a lioness—a fierce woman, and a really wonderful mother. I think that would be my summary because I'm her daughter. She was the best mom."
