Before she was one of country's fastest rising stars, Cam proved her songwriting prowess by penning hits for both country and pop superstars. (She wrote Miley Cyrus' "Maybe You're Right" from Cyrus' 2013 album Bangerz.) Even after making a name for herself as a vocalist, the talented singer-songwriter has found time to collaborate with fellow artists in the writer's room. The singer recently showcased her versatility with a stunning cover of Sam Smith's "Palace," a song she co-wrote with Smith and Tyler Johnson.

The song was originally included on Smith's 2017 album The Thrill of It All. Cam's cover is a tender and powerful take on the track, with the singer alternating between delicate and powerhouse vocals. Like her 2015 hit "Burning House," "Palace" centers on someone picking up the pieces of a broken heart while remaining grateful for the love they experienced.

Filmed in a nearly empty, dimly lit room, the video places all the focus on Cam's spellbinding vocals.

Cam's latest single "Diane," inspired by Dolly Parton's "Jolene," has been gaining steady traction for its honest depiction of the "other woman" in a relationship. On April 17, the singer will kick off her Listening Room Series Tour in Portland, Ore. She'll also perform at the 2018 CMA Fest, along with Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Jon Pardi, Walker Hayes, Lauren Alaina and more.
