After the controversial rocker announced his move into politics, fans took to Twitter to bring Crow in on the surprising news. But one rather confusing tweet earned the singer's attention immediately.
Oh man, @SherylCrow must be rolling in her grave right now... pic.twitter.com/o69j53JteC

Crow handled it by simply responding, "Dude, I'm still alive." Since she was in the studio recording when she saw the tweet, Crow took it as inspiration and began writing a song.
"In the studio today & I saw I'd be "rolling in my grave" — inspired me to write a song "Dude, I'm Still Alive!," she wrote.
"If Kid Rock runs for Senate, I wouldn't be surprised/But not over my dead body, 'cause dude I'm still alive," Crow sings.
The song is comedic and upbeat, but also sends a few digs to the White House. "I like a President who's smart/And handles women with respect/Who doesn't tweet on the toilet/But perhaps from the Reagan desk."
Naturally, the tongue-in-cheek tune has received thousands of responses from fans. It might not be her next single, but it goes to show that Crow has a great sense of humor.
