Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler

Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler

What do you when you want fresh peach cobbler, but the summer heat is far too much for your oven? You make it in the slow cooker, of course!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 hours
Total Time 5 hours 10 minutes
Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peaches (If using canned, choose a 28-ounce can)
  • 1/2 cup peach juice (Can sub out for milk or water)
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk baking mix
  • 2/3 cup quick dry oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbs butter, sliced into small chunks

Instructions

  • Lightly grease the slow cooker insert then place peach slices in insert.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine baking mix, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over peaches. Pour in peach juice, and lightly stir. Place the butter slices sporadically along the top.
  • Cover and cook on low until the center is set about, 4-5 hours. Remove lid and cook 15-30 minutes more to crisp up the top.
  • Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or just a big spoon, and enjoy!

Notes

Want make it even faster? Swap out the baking mix and oats for canned biscuit dough for a fluffier, more dumpling-like crust.
