Sparkling Iced Coffee Brings Refreshment Back to Coffee Addicts

Are you one of those people that can walk into their local coffee shop and the barista just automatically knows your order once they see you? My favorite café in town does this for me and hey, I'm pretty proud of it! That's one of the many reasons why I keep going back for my daily pick-me-up.

We all have our favorite coffee drink that we either make at home or order at the coffee shop. And let's all be honest, folks are pretty serious about their coffee drinks. Whether you prefer espresso, hot coffee, a latte, or iced coffee, they're all delicious and will provide you with that kick of caffeine you need to get going.

Well, let me introduce you to a new, bubbly coffee drink. Sparkling iced coffee is the fizzy drink that will truly get you going. Between the caffeine and carbonation from the seltzer or soda water, you'll be able to accomplish anything that comes your way during the day. Since this is a cold, iced coffee drink, it's a very fitting beverage for the Spring or a hot Summer day. However, I find it perfect for any time of the year.

All it takes is two ingredients for this refreshing sparkling coffee recipe. You won't even need the addition of dairy in this. In a tall glass, gently stir together cold brew coffee concentrate and sparkling water. You can use your favorite sparkling water brand like La Croix. If you're not into that fancy carbonated water, club soda works well too. Basically, you're using the water to create fizz for your drink. Plain sparkling water is recommended, but you can use any flavor. Top off with a few ice cubes and voilà! That's all it takes.

You can certainly drink this straight up, but if you're craving a little sugar, feel free to add your favorite sweetener or simple syrup. My go-to is homemade vanilla syrup. Also, if you don't have cold brew coffee concentrate on hand, no worries. You can use freshly brewed coffee or espresso. Just make sure to let it cool down.

Sparkling Iced Coffee

Love the jolt from your morning coffee, but looking to switch up in favor of a brighter, more refreshing drink? Sparkling Iced Coffee is here.
Prep Time 3 minutes
Total Time 3 minutes
Servings 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 4 oz coffee concentrate (We used Chameleon Cold Brew, but any variety will do)
  • 4 oz plain sparkling water (We recommend plain for the first try)

Instructions

  • In an 8-ounce glass, combine the coffee concentrate and sparkling water for a refreshing taste of summertime.

Notes

While we used coffee concentrate, which requires you to cut the flavor naturally with milk or water, you could use brewed coffee. If you were to use brewed coffee, try a 2:1 ratio of cold coffee to sparkling water. Add fizz and adjust the ratios as necessary.
When it comes to sparkling water flavors, some swear by Topo Chico lime, but if you're outside of Texas, this might be hard to find. Lime LaCroix didn't have the right zing to it, and some felt the citrus overpowered the drink. We recommend starting with plain and branching out from there.
