Moakler posted about the incident on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, saying, "We got into a scary accident a couple hours ago while I was behind the wheel. W/ the exception of a few minor bruises, cuts, and burns, everyone is miraculously okay. Thanking God & his angels for protecting us & everyone else on the road. I'm SO happy to be alive."

Later that day in a brief video update on Twitter, a shaken Moakler told fans that the show in Asheville Thursday night would go on as scheduled thanks to helping hands from family in the area. Unfortunately, his Myrtle Beach date on Friday had to be canceled due to lack of transportation, but it should be the only tour date the band has to miss as Moakler said they would make their Saturday show in Guntersville. Further details about the incident have not been given.
Moakler's new album, Born Ready, comes out on June 15th. His Born Ready Tour, which started in March, is set to run through mid-May.
