With over 41,000 locations around the world, no wonder Subway is one of the biggest fast-food chains out there. If you're ready to make some changes during your next visit to Subway, you have to check out how to spice up your next sandwich order with these Subway secret menu items.
1. The Wing Effect
When you ask for the "Wing Effect," a Subway sandwich artist will actually lay your meat flat on the bread instead of rolling it. This means that the meat will be hanging out the sides of the bread, allowing you to take a bite of meat before bread.
2. Subway "Old Cut"
Subway sandwich artists used to slice their bread differently than they do now. They would cut a "V" shape on top of the bread instead of in half. This cut really changes things. It's easier to load up on the meats and veggies and causes less of a mess while eating.
3. The Pizza Sub
There's a reason why people love The Pizza Sub from the secret menu. When you order, you'll get a sandwich on your choice of bread with tomato sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and if you wish, veggies. Don't forget to ask for it toasted with Parmesan cheese.
A pizza sandwich sounds pretty good right about now!
4. Chicken Cordon Bleu Sub
Similar to the fancy meal, this casual sub sandwich includes chicken breast, ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato and is topped with honey mustard. Ask for it to be toasted so the cheese melts perfectly.
5. Deconstructed Breakfast Taco
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? It's true! So, why not order off of Subway's secret menu. In this flatbread, you'll find an awesome combination of steak, egg whites, guacamole, tomatoes, spinach, red onions, and chipotle sauce.
6. Eggs Florentine Flatbread
Perfect as a breakfast sandwich or late lunch sandwich, you'll love this secret menu healthy option. It's made on flatbread and comes with egg whites, banana peppers, red onion, spinach, black olives, and Italian dressing. Low in calories, high in protein and totally mouthwatering.
7. Chicken Parmesan Sub
Not too long ago, this Subway sandwich was once on the regular menu. If you ask a Subway employee, chances are they still know how to make this sandwich. It is made with roasted chicken, marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese.
Of course, you have to ask for it toasted so the cheese melts and gets nice and gooey.
8. The Feast Sub
If you order this huge sub, you're either a meat lover, super hungry or looking to share a sandwich with a few friends. The Feast Sub lives up to its name because its a footlong made with salami, roast beef, turkey, ham and pepperoni. It'll cost you around $13, but worth it.
9. The Meat Lover/The Carnivore
The Feast Sub is pretty meaty, but this one piles on the meat. Get ready: four scoops of steak, six slices of bacon and pepperoni. You can add on any veggies or toppings you'd like. Be prepared to take a nice, long nap afterward.
10. The Big Philly Cheesesteak
This is a popular secret menu item Subway customers order. If you order as a footlong, you'll get three generous scoops of steak and double the amount of cheese. Don't forget to order it toasted with onions and peppers.
11. Tuna Melt Sub
Subway's twist on a classic sandwich is bursting with different flavors. In this secret menu sub, your sandwich artist will whip up a combination of tuna, black olives, lettuce, tomatoes, and Provolone cheese.
12. The Footlong B.M.T
There's a reason why you won't see this one on the regular menu. The B.M.T stands for bigger, meatier, tastier and all started back in the 90s when a hungry truck driver asked a Subway employee to make one of the biggest subs.
It'll cost you around $86 dollars and let's just say it's intense! Here it goes: eight double meats, eight double cheese, nine layers of bacon, every vegetable they have and slices of bread in between the layers. It's huge, it's high in calories, it's costly, but the story behind this sandwich is pretty cool. If you're up for the challenge, go for it!
