If you love a good old-fashioned city-girl-meets-small-town drama, then Sullivan's Crossing needs to be on your radar.

This Canadian series hooked fans back in March when it first premiered on CTV, but it's finally making its way stateside to The CW come Oct. 4. With the Writers Guild of America strike bringing the entertainment industry to a halt, news of a new series is a welcome announcement — especially when it's one with some very recognizable names and faces.
Sullivan's Crossing follows the story of Maggie Sullivan, a big-time Boston neurosurgeon who gets caught up in a scandal that forces her to leave her professional and personal life behind and return home to a remote campground that's run by her estranged father. Based on the novel series by Robyn Carr (who also penned the books behind our other favorite small-town drama, Virgin River), the show has everything you could ask for: fresh starts, family rifts and mysteriously handsome newcomers.
"Sullivan's Crossing is an emotionally rich, authentic family drama that will immediately resonate with audiences thanks to an incredible cast and relatable themes of self-reflection, second chances and the power of community," Brad Schwartz, The CW's entertainment president, told Deadline back in April.
So who are these incredible cast members who will bring this story to life? Here's your guide to the people you'll be meeting in Sullivan's Crossing.
Morgan Kohan as Maggie Sullivan
Where you've seen her: When Hope Calls
Maggie Sullivan is the series' lead — a brilliant neurosurgeon played by Canadian actress Morgan Kohan. While she's guest-starred on numerous hit shows including Transplant, Batwoman, Creeped Out, The Bold Type and Kim's Convenience, she's probably best known for her portrayal of Lillian Walsh in the Hallmark original series When Hope Calls. The actress is also starred in a couple of romance TV movies: A Whirlwind Wedding and Love on Harbor Island.
Chad Michael Murray as Cal Jones
Where you've seen him: One Tree Hill, A Cinderella Story and Freaky Friday
Early-2000s heartthrob Chad Michael Murray brings to life Maggie's "potential" love interest, Cal Jones. Like all potential love interests, Cal is mysterious and new to the village — but something tells us he won't stay a stranger for long. Murray is, of course, no stranger to small-town dramas. He starred in WB's hit show One Tree Hill and infamously played the short-lived but iconic Tristin Dugray in Gilmore Girls.
Scott Patterson as Harry 'Sully' Sullivan
Where you've seen him: Gilmore Girls
Speaking of Gilmore Girls fame, Scott Patterson stars as Maggie's father, Harry "Sully" Sullivan, who runs the campground village. While he's not pouring coffee at Luke's Diner, seeing Patterson in a similar gruff and lovable role is sure to make GG fans of the series feel right at home. He's also made appearances in shows such as Will & Grace, Seinfeld and CSI: Miami.
Reid Price as Rob Shandon
Where you've seen him: The Sinner
Reid Price stars as Rob Shandon, a widower who runs the local diner and is all about raising his young son. Price's acting career is still on the rise, but he's already made appearances alongside Bill Pullman in USA Networks' police procedural anthology series The Sinner.
Lindura as Sydney Shandon
Where you've seen her: Ghosts
Another newbie to the acting scene, Lindura plays Sydney Shandon, Rob's sister, who's always there to help him out with Finn and the diner. Apart from a guest appearance in the CBS comedy Ghosts and a small role in the TV movie Olympians at Heart, this is her most notable role to date.
Tom Jackson as Frank Cranebear
Where you've seen him: Cold Pursuit and North of 60
Veteran actor Tom Jackson has an impressive career that spans over 30 years. While most people will recognize him as Peter Kenidi from the long-running mystery drama series North of 60, he's also had many other TV and film roles. Most recently, he starred alongside Liam Neeson in the 2019 thriller Cold Pursuit.
Andrea Menard as Edna Cranebear
Where you've seen her: Blackstone and Moccasin Flats
Completing the two-person Cranebear couple is Canadian actress Andrea Menard, who plays Edna. She's another veteran actor with credits dating all the way back to 2000. Fans may recognize her from roles in drama series such as Blackstone and Moccasin Flats as well as films including Rabbit Fall and The Velvet Devil.
Amalia Williamson as Lola Gunderson
Where you've seen her: Northern Rescue and The Kid Detective
Although she only has a few credits to her name so far, they've already earned Amalia Williamson some noteworthy recognition. She played a lead role in the family drama series Northern Rescue (which also stars William Baldwin) and was featured in the Adam Brody-led dark comedy The Kid Detective.
Dakota Taylor as Rafe Vadas
Where you've seen him: Homekilling Queen, Ghosts and Zero Chill
Canadian actor Dakota Taylor may be relatively new to the Hollywood scene, but he's quickly making a name for himself. With only small roles in series such as Ghosts on CBS, the TV movie Homekilling Queen and Netflix's teen drama series Zero Chill to his name so far, this could definitely be a breakout role.
Lauren Hammersley as Connie Boyle
Where you've seen her: Virgin River and Mr. D
Last but certainly not least is Lauren Hammersley, who plays Connie Boyle. She's another veteran actor with an impressive resume? that includes notable roles such as Lisa Mason in the comedy Mr. D and Charmaine Roberts in the Netflix series Virgin River. Needless to say, her small-town-drama experience makes her a perfect fit for Sullivan's Crossing.
How to Watch Sullivan's Crossing
