When it comes to wacky fast food combinations, we're seeing more and more wild options out there. Sonic is debuting Pickle Slushes this summer, Domino's now lets you order food from the beach, and one Waffle House location is breaking tradition to sell beer. Heinz is bringing Mayochup to the U.S., and White Castle even debuted their vegan burger. Needless to say, there's a lot of things going on in the fast food and restaurant world right now. So let's add one more to the list because on May 10, 2018, Taco Bell will add its Naked Chicken Chalupa to menus nationwide in an original version and a wilder version.

That's right, you might remember this fried chicken shell number from last year as it was tested through the country. The brand is debuting two varieties, and both are around for a limited time. Pair this news with the fact that Taco Bell is actually one of the healthiest fast food chains around right now, and you've got an interesting combination. Now that it's officially a menu item, let's take a look.
The original Naked Chicken Chalupa features all-white meat, raised without antibiotics crispy chicken shell with bold Mexican spices and seasonings. It's packed with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and a creamy avocado ranch sauce. The Wilder Naked Chicken Chalupa features the same crispy fried chicken taco shell and fillings, but with a bold, smoky wild sauce that will warm up the taste buds.
If you're in Cleveland, Ohio, you'll also have the chance to test out the Nacho Cheese Naked Chicken Chalupa for a limited time. The Naked Chicken Chalupa there will be complete with warm nacho cheese drizzled over it. You can find the Naked Chicken Chalupa and the wilder version for $2.99 at participating locations, or you can also order the $5 Box with the Naked Chicken Chalupa, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco, and a Medium Drink.
I wonder what the new Wild sauce tastes like compared to the other hot sauces that Taco Bell offers. I know quite a few folks who purchase the Diablo sauce on Amazon because they love it so much and stores don't always carry it. Have you tried this fried chicken shell yet? Will you?
