Taco Bell Sauces Ranked From Scorching To Bland

There was once a time when Taco Bell only had three Taco Bell sauces and nacho cheese sauce to choose from. And if you only find yourself doing a quick drive-thru to pick up your usual, you'll be shocked to find that, with a little menu research, you can order way more than the OGs now. Some sauces can even be ordered on Amazon. Taco Bell has stepped up its hot sauce game in recent years and has a whopping total of 10 "sauces."

You can even buy some of the sauces in stores!

Taco Bell Fire Sauce

Each sauce condiment is unique to its flavor, some costing a little bit of coin change and most being jalapeño-based. Their spice levels range from very mild to too hot to handle. Take a look at the options and their spiciness rank from the popular fast food chain.

Too Hot To Handle

Diablo

Diablo sauce is by far the hottest sauce on Taco Bell's menu. It's known less for the flavor and more for its strong kick of spice. It's more in comparison with Tabasco, Frank's Red Hot, or Cholula. You add the diablo sauce to make food more heated on the tongue.

Fire

Fire sauce was the hottest sauce Taco Bell had before they introduced Diablo, so the spice level is still there. What makes it different is a combination of a good kick of spice and flavor. After all, it is more jalapeño pepper-based, making the sauce more like a pepper sauce.

Fiery Hot

Hot

Taco Bell's hot sauce is the safest bet for anyone looking to add a sauce to their food. It's right in the middle of not being spicy to having just a little kick, with more chili pepper spices added to the ingredients.

Very Mild

Mild

The popular consensus (according to Reddit users) is that Taco Bell mild sauce is not spicy at all. Although some might beg to differ. But just because it's not spicy, doesn't mean it's not a good sauce. The mild sauce packets have a great flavor profile, making it the most ideal to add to any of TB's menu items.

Red Sauce

The Taco Bell red sauce is basically a milder mild sauce. It's kind of like a mild pepper sauce or enchilada sauce. Think Old El Paso cans. What makes the red sauce so great though is that you can use it as a base for many food items because of its tomato ingredients. Some might even say it packs the best flavor for that reason. You can also refrigerate it to make it last longer.

Spicy Ranch

Usually, a spicy ranch found at other restaurants is spicy. At Taco Bell, it can be considered a kick. This tangy ranch is more on the sweet side, but there is definitely a hint of spice there. If you can find it.

No Heat At All

Chipotle

Taco Bell's chipotle sauce is added into some of their menu items, making it universal to all of their food. This might be the more popular of the new bunch, with its seasonings flavor profile. The sauce includes a chili powder puree that would make it a great addition to burritos filled with protein. But is it spicy? Probably not. Therefore you can probably use this sauce in other styles of food, such as bbq.

Creamy Jalapeno

Though there's jalapeño in the name, this sauce tastes like jalapeños but isn't spicy like them. If you're looking for more of a dip add-on, the sauce is rich and creamy for just that. Try ordering the quesadilla that already comes with it in the ingredients, or how about adding it to a soft taco?

Avocado Ranch

If you're in search of something zesty, Taco Bell's avocado ranch packs tons of flavor. You can taste the combination of avocado and ranch, making it ideal for their Mexican pizza. Oh wait, they got rid of that!

Nacho Cheese

Nacho cheese sauce is just that- cheese sauce. It's not meant to be spicy, and it sure isn't at all. And if you aren't enjoying the nacho cheese with their fries, you aren't living.

Going through Taco Bell hot sauce is like doing a hot sauce tasting. None of them contain the "hottest pepper" or ghost pepper, so a tasting is completely doable. And seeing as Taco Bell is getting rid of popular menu items, trying these sauce stat should be on your radar because they may just be around for a limited time.
