Tallahassee is in the midst of a devastating series of thunderstorms, aggressive winds, and what experts suspect may be a tornado. Over on X (formerly known as Twitter), many users local to the area are posting the destructive effects.

One unlucky user managed to capture the exact moment a solid majority of Tallahassee lost power. As reported by Tallahassee Democrat, the region has experienced a string of similar misfortunes. "A line of severe thunderstorms and a possible tornado roared through Tallahassee Friday morning leaving a large swath of damage - downed trees, tangled power lines and buildings with their roofs sheered off."
Presently, the storms are so awful that schools across the city found themselves closed. As it stands, Tallahassee Democrat expects that it'll be some time before the power is brought back to the residents who still don't have any.
"The City of Tallahassee expects it will take some time to get an estimated 68,000 people reconnected to the power grid."
Elsewhere in the city, another X user managed to capture the damage done in Tallahassee Railroad Square. Unfortunately, the damage is abundantly substantial.

The Devastation Continues In Tallahassee As The Storms Rage On
Reportedly, twisted sheet metal from the roofs of Railroad Square's buildings had blown over to College Town and littered the student housing complexes. Additionally, the nearby train station had its roof completely torn asunder. Many speculate the damage to be the result of a tornado.
"I can't believe this," said Kathy Bryant, one of the city's residents. The storm caused her a great deal of stress and sudden instability. Bryant witnessed significant damage in the form of a gaping hole as she returned to her home near Railroad Square. Regrettably, her living room and kitchen are now filled with debris.
"Thank God my baby wasn't in here."
The reports of unfixable damage to people's livelihoods appear to have no end in sight. Hopefully, when it's all said and done, the people of Tallahassee are able to return to something resembling normalcy.
