Here's a fun fact that you may not know: Target has a one-year return policy for all its store-owned and exclusive brands. Instead of the normal 90-day policy, you've got a year to bring back certain items purchased from Target stores. That means, if you're not happy with any Target Owned Brand item, you can return it within one year (the return window) with a receipt for an exchange or a refund in your original form of payment.

Everyone's favorite retailer, which is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, made this change back in 2015 and we can't believe we didn't know about it. It's a generous return period policy that encourages people to buy from exclusive Target brands for a little more flexibility with store returns.
In the announcement about the policy change, Kathee Tesija, chief merchandising and supply chain officer for the stores said, "At Target, we're putting our guests first and are committed to offering a shopping experience that's inspiring and rooted in ease. Our enhanced return policy offers our guests convenience we think they'll appreciate, while providing additional assurance of the quality of owned and exclusive brands found only at Target."
That means if you buy something from the A New Day, Pillowfort, Room Essentials, Goodfellow & Co., Universal Thread, or Xhilaration collections, you have a year to return items according to the Target return policy. It also covers the wildly popular Hearth & Hand by Magnolia collection from Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Items such as electronics, video games, and entertainment items don't fall under this category, and the 30-day return policy from the date of purchase is applied to those purchases. As for most Apple products, the return policy is still 15 days. Some items, such as an airbed cannot be returned but can be exchanged for a similar item, and all mobile phones must be returned within 14 days.
The modified return policies also offer a one-year return guarantee for guests using Target's baby, college or wedding gift registries. New, unopened items in new condition and items in their original packaging from registries with a gift receipt or the Gifts Purchased List are returnable within a year.
If you received something as a gift purchased from the store, but not on the wedding, college, or baby registry, you can still return it for a full refund. You'll need the barcode on the gift receipt or packing slip (if the item was purchased online and delivered), and the refund will be in the form of a Target GiftCard. Yay for store credit! God knows if I got my money back I would just spend it at Target again. The beauty products aisle is my happy place.
And if you have a Target REDcard debit card and Visa credit card, you get an extra 30 days to return nearly all items purchased with the REDcard at Target stores or online purchases at Target.com.
Be sure to keep this return policy in mind when Christmas comes around! You can find all the details on Target's return policy here or visit your Target's guest services.
