Taylor Swift returned to the Acamedy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) Wednesday night (Sept. 16) for the first time in 7 years to perform "Betty," from her recently released album Folklore. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter performed from Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House, over 14 years after she made her Grand Ole Opry debut.
"Betty," written from the perspective of a 17-year-old boy, is the first of Swift's singles to hit the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart since 2013's "Red."
Swift won New Female Vocalist at the ACM Awards in 2008. In 2011 and 2012, she took home the ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year.
In 2014, Swift transitioned to pop with her album 1989, which she followed with 2017's Reputation, 2019's Lover and 2020's Folklore.
