The Chicks Announce 2 More Tour Dates Impacted by 'Ongoing Illness'

The Chicks' tour remains paused.

An unspecified illness in the Chicks camp impacted two more of the trio's tour dates. The band recently rescheduled a trio of arena shows — July 27 in Nashville, Tenn., July 29 in Knoxville, Tenn. and July 30 in Greensboro, NC. Since then, the group announced via Instagram that a show slated for Wednesday (Aug. 2) at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. has been moved to Sept. 20. Tonight's (Aug. 3) appearance at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY has been cancelled.

Tickets for the Maryland show will be honored on the rescheduled date, while concertgoers in New York will be automatically refunded. The Greensboro, N.C. show will now be held on Aug. 8. The Knoxville date was rescheduled to Sept. 21 and the Nashville date has been moved to Sept. 23.

"We have made the difficult decision to also reschedule our shows in Knoxville and Greensboro due to illness," shared the band on social media regarding the first round of impacted shows. "We are so sorry for the inconvenience, but our priority is to put on a show you all deserve."

The North American leg of The Chicks' ongoing summer jaunt began on July 21 in Tulsa, Okla. It was preceded by a slate of European stops in June and July. The North American dates wrap up on Sept. 18 in Toronto, Ontario. Ben Harper will open several concerts beginning Aug. 10 in Hershey, Penn. Maren Morris will be the supporting act for the final six dates scheduled for September. Nine appearances in Australia and New Zealand span the back half of October.

"Thank you to all our fans for making last summer so fun!" the trio wrote on social media upon announcing the tour. "It's time to get the party going again! We can't wait to see everyone!"

The tour began last summer, with dates including appearances at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn. and the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
