'The Voice': Gwen Stefani’s Reaction After Earning Country Artist Has John Legend Asking, 'What’s Happening?'

Stefani mistakenly declared her team full

The last night of blind auditions aired on "The Voice" on Monday (10/16), and each coach was busy trying to choose the perfect, last few additions to their team. Coach Gwen Stefani went into the night with a few slots left, and when she heard country singer Claire Heilig sing Megan Moroney's "Tennessee Orange," she couldn't help but turn her chair.

Heilig, a 30-year-old mom and singer from Virginia Beach, performed an inviting rendition of Moroney's debut country hit. Stefani — as well as the other coaches — told the singer she enjoyed the grittiness and rasp in her voice. Coach Reba McEntire also shared some regret for already filling her team and effectively not being able to turn her chair for Heilig. Heilig became an automatic member of Team Gwen, as Stefani was the only coach to turn her chair, and the former No Doubt frontwoman expressed excitement about the singer's potential.

"I don't even think she realizes what she can do with that voice yet, so I'm so excited she's on my team," Stefani said.

While the audition went according to plan, there was a bit of a humorous glitch in the show after Stefani welcomed the singer to her team. Stefani mistakenly thought she'd filled the last slot on her team when, in reality, she still had one more. She started going into her celebration, which involved taking off her long checkered cape and shoes and standing on her chair.

John Legend hilariously asked, "What's happening?" as the display was going on. Once Stefani was ready to declare her team as full, he reminded her she still had one spot left.

"Wait, wait, wait," Legend said as Stefani stood on her chair. "I thought you had one more."

"I think you've got one more," added Horan. McEntire agreed as well.

In order not to waste the routine she just performed, Stefani still proclaimed her team as full. She then got down from her chair and confirmed, "I have another one? Oh my God."

"I was wondering why she was taking her clothes off," added Legend.
