Monday's episode of The Voice proved to be incredibly competitive not just among the singers, but for the coaches as well. The three-way knockouts debuted Monday night, and although only one singer is chosen at the end of the round, the other coaches have the opportunity to steal contestants for their team. Team Legend's knockout round ended with Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani fighting over the same artist in a hilarious moment. Not only were the two battling to steal the same artist, but Horan also stole a piece of Stefani's wardrobe.

The lucky artist who had the privilege of two coaches fighting over her was Mara Justine. She performed a powerful version of Harry Nilsson's "Without You" in the style of Mariah Carey. Despite her standout performance, she was eliminated by John Legend. He chose another powerhouse singer, Kaylee Shimizu, as the winner after her performance of Aretha Franklin's "Ain't No Way." Legend also sent home Caleb Sasser, who sang Nick Jonas' "Jealous."
Before Justine could get through her goodbye speech, however, Horan and Stefani simultaneously hit their buttons to steal her. Stefani immediately went into defensive mode, trying to stop Horan from approaching Justine.
"No! Don't touch me!" Horan yelled as he fended off Stefani.
"He's not that cute," Stefani said, clearly worried that Horan's looks will play a part in Justine's decision.
Host Carson Daly then cautioned Horan, saying, "No using your boyish charm for evil."
At some point during the chaos, Stefani's long, sparkly pink jacket ended up on Horan's chair. So, he did the natural thing and slipped it on while Stefani gave her pitch to the singer. He then looked at Stefani with what one might describe as googly eyes, effectively distracting Stefani from her speech to Justine.
"I look so good in pink!" he declared.
Stefani did get the chance to finish her pitch, saying she's "nervous" due to how passionate she is about having Justine on her team.
"There's so many people that can sing amazing, but there's not a lot of people that can connect with people through their own originality," she said. "I'm not an actress right now. This is my real heart talking to you, so I would love to have you on Team Gwen."
Horan then spoke to Justine, citing the fact that he has been a fan of hers since "day one." Horan memorably fought Legend over the singer during her blind audition.
"John will tell you, I hounded him with text messages going, 'I'm going to get you back for this,'" he revealed.
"When I think of who's great on The Voice this season, you're the first one that comes to mind," he added. "You've got something serious about you."
Unfortunately, the episode cut off before Justine chose her new coach. Fans can see her choice when The Voice continues Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET. Previous episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
