It's a new era for The Voice since the departure of longtime coach Blake Shelton after season 23, and the television show has shared the first taste of what's to come in season 24. The new season — premiering Sept. 25 on NBC — will feature the addition of first-time coach Reba McEntire, who is filling Shelton's shoes. Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan and John Legend will also return to the show as coaches. The brand new group of coaches and host Carson Daly gathered for a selfie on the show set to tease what's to come.

Fans are undoubtedly looking forward to seeing the new dynamic among the coaches. Stefani and Legend have coached together in previous seasons, but Horan — who was a first-time coach alongside Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Chance the Rapper last year — has yet to take the stage with them. All three of the returning coaches will surely miss the dynamic they had with Shelton over the years. Stefani and Shelton are married, so they often displayed a sweet yet competitive relationship on set, and Shelton and Legend had good-natured fun on the show. Last season, Horan and Shelton bonded on the show, often joking that they were father and son.
As a veteran in the music business with an energetic personality, McEntire will undoubtedly be game for the fiery competition of the show. However, it remains to be seen exactly how each coach will interact with one another and who will take home the win at the end of the season.
The new season of The Voice began filming in early July, and some stars of the show — namely, Carson Daly — are already feeling Shelton's absence. The longtime host took to social media on the first day of filming to show exactly how he feels about his buddy's exit from the series.
"My first day ever shooting @nbcthevoice without @blakeshelton," he wrote. "We had a ritual of getting hair & makeup together for 23 seasons. I think I'm handling it well. Everything's fine."
