Texas five-piece band The Wilder Blue has already gained a legion of listeners in the Lone Star State and beyond with their seamless blend of classic rock and country and gorgeous, lush harmonies. Even country stars Jess Carson of Midland and Luke Combs count themselves among the band's superfans. ("The melodies, the harmonies, the instrumentation, and the songs. All just grade A," Combs wrote on Twitter back in 2020.)

The group, made up of lead vocalist Zane Williams, Paul Eason on lead guitar, Lyndon Hughes on drums, Sean Rodriguez on bass and multi-instrumentalist Andy Rogers, navigates uncertain times on "Wave Dancer," the latest release from their forthcoming self-titled sophomore album (out March 25).
"'Wave Dancer' is a song about navigating these interesting times in which we live," Zane Williams tells Wide Open Country. "Truth without love is arrogant, and love without truth is naive. But truth and love together...that's where the magic's at."

The band self-produced the album, recorded at Echo Lab Studios in Denton, Texas over the course of several months, with engineer Matt Pence (Paul Cauthen, Shakey Graves). The lengthy recording process allowed the group to foster true collaboration and creativity.
"Having studio time paid for by our fan subscribers gave us the chance to relax and spread out a little," Williams said in a press release.
