Tim McGraw Wants to Sing With His Daughters: 'I'm the Worst Singer in the Family'

Tim McGraw doesn't know if he can hang creatively with the rest of his family.

Tim McGraw wants to collaborate with the whole family. Beyond chasing another hit alongside spouse and recurring duet partner Faith Hill, he'd love to form a quintet with the couple's three children: 26-year-old Broadway performer Gracie, 24-year-old Maggie and 21-year-old Audrey.

"I'd love to do a song with all five of us at some point," McGraw told Entertainment Tonight. "I talk about it all the time, and they're like, 'I'm not singing with you, Dad.' They'll sing with Mom. I'm probably not on par with the rest of them. I'm the worst singer in the family."

McGraw further praised his daughters for being "the life of the party every time they're around" and an inspiration to their parents.

Gracie sang with her dad in a viral 2019 round of carpool karaoke. Audrey participated in her famous father's career at least once: starring in the 2021 music video for "7500 OBO." Middle child Maggie brings rock 'n' roll experience after fronting the band Sister Supply.

The Entertainment Tonight interview promoted McGraw's 17th studio album, Standing Room Only (out Aug. 25). A 33-date tour of the same name begins next March. It'll stretch into the summer and feature special guest Carly Pearce.

When asked about the rise of audience members throwing objects at artists, McGraw said he hopes he's "still spry enough" to dodge anything lobbed in his direction.

Kelsea Ballerini has been among those impacted by this trend. A June incident at the Idaho Botanical Garden's Outlaw Field prompted Ballerini fan account Kelsea Central to address the potential consequences of such reckless actions.

"Guys. I know we all mean well. We all want to show Kelsea love the best way we know how and shower her with all the gifts," read a tweet that included video of the incident. "But throwing things on stage where artists are already so vulnerable is NOT the move. If you can't hand it to her, there are so many other options. Lord, give it to us! We will make sure it gets to her. But PLEASE don't put her in danger like this. Again, I know you all mean well, but this is becoming a safety issue. We love you guys. We do. But please make it stop."
