See Miranda Lambert's Stunning 'Tin Man' on Austin City Limits

Miranda Lambert graced the Austin City Limits stage earlier in the year and floored the audience with her song "Tin Man."

Lambert released "Tin Man" on her phenomenal album The Weight Of These Wings. She also performed the song this year at the nationally televised ACM Awards. Her tender and sparse version immediately won praise from fans and critics alike.

When she stopped by Austin's famous television show, Lambert told the crowd a little more about the song. "I wrote this song with two of my best friends that are from Texas as well, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall," Lambert tells the crowd. "I think we all needed to write this song. At the time that we wrote it we all sort of took equal parts in each others' pain and put it down on paper."

Miranda says she wanted to perform the song with just her and the guitar, the same way she wowed America back in April. Check out the beautiful performance above.

Lambert won the ACM Album of the Year in 2017 for The Weight Of These Wings. That was the only award show the album qualified for at the time. But that also means it qualifies for the upcoming CMA Awards and Grammy Awards.

And you can fully expect Lambert to bring hardware home from those events as well.

"Tin Man" is up for Single of the Year and Song of the Year at the upcoming 2017 CMA Awards. The Weight Of These Wings is also up for Album of the Year and Lambert is up for Female Vocalist of the Year.

You can tune in to the 51st Annual CMA Awards on Nov. 8 on ABC.
