Yern, Hildi and Genevieve are all heading back to TLC when the reboot starts in 2018. The original host, Paige Davis, as well as designers Doug Wilson, Frank Bielic and Laurie Smith have also signed on to return. Original carpenters Ty Pennington and Carter Oosterhouse will also come back to supply their skills.

However, as with any good reboot, you can probably expect to see some changes this time. For example, producers haven't quite defined everyone's roles yet. It's possible we might see some of these guys doing things a little differently and in different roles with this reboot.

The original series aired in 2000 and ran for almost a decade. It became the most popular series ever for TLC and gave birth to just about every other home improvement series since. The premise of the show was that neighbors would compete with one another to create a new space in the other's home.

Each team received $1,000 - in later episodes, contestants received $2,000 - to complete a small renovation. The teams revealed the final product at the end of each episode.

According to TLC, the first cities they will visit for filming of the show include Los Angeles, Atlanta and Baltimore. If you want to be a part of the show, visit TLC.com to submit your application.
