Often, when someone under 40's fame shoots through the roof, social media posts from their younger days get sought out and scrutinized. That's been true for Travis Kelce, an NFL star who's been linked romantically to Taylor Swift since September. Swifties have unearthed multiple youthful online musings by Kelce, which for the most part are charming and not the least bit objectionable.

"I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy," reads one notable Kelce tweet from 2011.
Beyond butchering "squirrel," Kelce tweeted often in 2010 about the restaurant chain Chipotle. He spelled it "Chipolte," which, to be fair, is phonetic and a common enough mistake.
"I'm fr [in] tears over his commitment to this spelling," one X (formerly known as Twitter) user posted in response to the recurring Chipotle error.
"Its such a nice day out..... as I stair from my math class.... smh #mustbenice," read another tweet that's earned Kelce some good-natured teasing.
The low-hanging fruit here for commenters is that in 2010 and 2011, while Kelce was "stairing" at a sunshiny day and tweeting about "squirles," Swift was well into her ongoing run as a once-in-a-generation lyricist.
Hopefully, Travis' brother, fellow NFL star Jason Kelce, reads some of these aloud on the siblings' New Heights podcast so we can get Travis' current takes on "squirles" and "Chipolte."
Kelce's wholesome musings are the latest in a longline of headline making content from the football star. Recently, Swift changed the lyrics to her song "Karma" to shout out her new love.
"Yeah, no I had no clue [she would do that] ... well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me," Travis Kelce said of the lyric change on New Heights. "I was like, 'Oh... she really just said that.'"
Fans can look forward to more coverage of the Swift-Kelce relationship; Kelce's parents Ed and Donna are expected to meet Swift's folks, Andrea and Scott, at Monday night's (Nov. 20) Eagles-Chiefs game.
