Many Americans fantasize about the spread of food on their Thanksgiving table months ahead of time. From pies to turkey to sweet potato casserole, there's so much to look forward to. I mean really, what could be better than a food-based holiday? Most people focus on lunch and dinner, but I can't think of any reason not to start celebrating with yummy food at breakfast. Cinnamon roll turkeys are the perfect prelude to Thanksgiving dinner, as adorable as they are delicious.

These turkey cinnamon rolls earn their name from their appearance as much as their ingredients. The cinnamon rolls serve as the body of the turkey, with bacon strips ingeniously tucked into the rolls to form the turkey's tail. The finishing touches involve candy eyes, a nose, and feet made of various candies and snacks. They're (almost) too cute to eat!
Not only is this easy recipe a fun way to involve the whole family on Thanksgiving morning, but it's also a great way to start the day. The sweet glaze, warm cinnamon, and bacon flavor that makes up these diy little turkeys is the ideal thanksgiving breakfast food for anyone with a sweet tooth!
How to Make Turkey Cinnamon Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F, and line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Open your Pillsbury can of rolls and set icing aside. Separate dough into 5 rolls and place on the baking sheet, with about 3 inches of space between each. Unroll each roll about 1 inch and tuck dough end back into the roll to emulate the neck of turkey.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. When your cinnamon rolls have reached the point of golden perfection, remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
As the rolls cool, cook bacon until crispy and then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Cut bacon pieces in half. Tuck 4 halves of bacon into each cinnamon roll so that they stick up in the formation of a turkey's tail feathers.
Drizzle the tops of rolls with icing. Now it's time to make the turkey's face! Use candy eyeballs, candy corn for the beak, and chocolate candies for decoration. A red mini candy is used for the turkey's wattle, the red part of the turkey's neck. Before serving, add the turkey's feet by placing mini pretzel sticks beneath each turkey where its feet would go.
Get ready to gobble these tasty lil turkeys up!
