Ty Herndon is officially married. The country singer said "I do" to fiancé Alex Schwartz on Saturday, August 26, in Chapmansboro, Tenn. The two hosted the wedding at Owen Farm, mixing "the formality of black and white" with "the casual backdrop of the farm," Herndon tells People.

"We like to call it country chic and everyone loved having a little bit of both experiences," he tells the publication.
The wedding was attended by 300 guests, including Kristin Chenoweth with fiancé Josh Bryant and actress Sally Struthers, among others. Herndon and Schwartz wore classic black tuxes for their big day — following the theme of mixing formal and country — and the singer says he took inspiration from a 2000s romance comedy for the wedding.
"We knew we wanted something that captured our personalities and we fell in love with this place as soon as we saw it," he says. "We used the wedding scene in the movie of The Proposal as a bit of a reference."
The wedding venue is situated next to the property of late country singer, Don Williams, who was reportedly Herndon's father's favorite country artist. The unique location allowed for a fun treat for Herndon's wedding party.
"The Owen family was kind enough to offer us [Don's] tour bus to bring the wedding party to the location of the ceremony on the grounds, which created an extra special moment for me personally but also for our guests," Herndon tells People.
"We just wanted a space and a place that could accommodate our eclectic group of friends and family to celebrate love, life, and our future together. That was the main thing that was important to us — and that everyone have a lot of fun," he adds.
Melissa Greene, former member of the contemporary Christian band Avalon, officiated the wedding. Groomsmen included former Avalon band member Michael Passons, along with Zeke Stokes and producer and guitarist Erik Halbig. Anita Cochran, Matt Bloyd, Jamie Floyd + Jimmy Thow and Shelly Fairchild performed music for the guests.
The food also took center stage at the wedding. Al's Diner and Deli in Nashville reportedly catered a Southern meal, complete with chicken, pork, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad with iced tea. The guests also enjoyed a three-tiered cake from Ivey Cake in Nashville.
Herndon and Schwartz also made sure to honor their loved ones who have passed on their special day. The two set up a special table with a photo of Herndon's late father and Schwartz's younger brother who passed away.
"On that table our mothers lit a unity candle on behalf of both our families signifying the joining of the Herndons and the Schwartzes," Herndon says. "It created a very special moment to help us remember those who couldn't be with us to celebrate this day."
Herndon and Schwartz became engaged in February 2023 after six months of dating.
