UPtv Christmas: All the Details About the Network's Eight Original Holiday Movies

UPtv's holiday programming will last for 45 days and a total of about 600 hours.

The Christmas season is just around the corner, and television network UPtv will be rolling out eight brand new Christmas movies to uplift audiences this holiday season. People revealed all eight — some of which will feature familiar faces including Melissa Peterman, Chesapeake Shores' Jessica Sipos, Virgin River's Sarah Dugdale and wrestler Chris Jericho. The lineup also includes a music special, A Gaither Homecoming, from the Gaither vocal group.

The holiday fun will begin on Nov. 3 when UPtv starts streaming more than 200 Christmas classics. The first original movie, We're Scrooged, will premiere on Nov. 5. All told, UPtv's holiday programming will last for 45 days and a total of about 600 hours.

"Celebrating the true meaning of the season is at the forefront of our selection process, and our movies celebrate the magic of the holiday season with stories about family, love, hope and faith."

We're Scrooged, Nov. 5

UPtv will kick off its holiday programing with original movie, We're Scrooged, on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. ET. Starring Tamara Duarte and Andrew Bushell, the film finds two former high school flames — whom their friends called "Ross and Rachel" — returning to their hometown for their 10-year reunion. The film then moves into a Scrooge-like story as the characters are visited by ghosts that remind them of past Christmases. According to People, the experience helps them "see what they gave up. And that they gave up on each other."

Christmas Time Capsule, Nov. 12

The next original film to premiere on UPtv is Christmas Time Capsule, airing Sunday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. ET. This movie tells the story of best friends Tiffany and James. When James decides to propose to another woman, Tiffany goes on a mission to "make James realize that the woman he really wants has been in front of him the whole time."

Country Hearts Christmas, Nov. 19 

This movie serves as a sequel to UPtv's Country Hearts, which premiered in October. The movie, airing Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. ET, stars Chris Jericho, Lanie McAuley, Katerina Maria, David Pinard and Craig Strickland. It follows the Jameson family as Tori and June are pursuing their music career and Bones is preparing the home for a family gathering at Christmas. Conflict arises when Tori and June are offered the opportunity to perform on a Christmas Eve show, and they must decide between their career and family. The sisters are both dealing with issues in their love life as well. People says, "In the end, it's remembering that family, faith and love is the answer to any big decision."

Mistletoe Connection, Nov. 26

Starring Jessica Sipos and Markian Tarasiuk, Mistletoe Connection follows Kate Snow, a small-business owner whose livelihood is threatened when a developer moves to town, and Mark Goodwin. Their lives both take a turn when a "chance encounter on the bus with Mark sets off sparks for them both" (IMDB). Mistletoe Connection airs Sunday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. ET. 

A Christmas Homecoming, Dec. 2 

The Gaither Family joins UPtv's holiday lineup with a special concert, A Christmas Homecoming. Airing Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. ET, the hourlong special will feature Bill Gather remembering performances from past Christmases, including from Josh Turner and the Gaither Vocal Band. The special is "perfect for the whole family" and will evoke "holiday joy."

Yuletide the Knot, Dec. 3 

The next original movie to premiere on UPtv is Yuletide the Knot, airing Sunday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. ET. Starring Mary Antonini, Peter Porte, Kelley Jakle, Kelsey Scott and Melissa Peterman, the movie follows wedding planner Rachel as she plans a Christmas wedding for clients. During the planning process, however, she runs into an ex, Logan, who is the influencer bride's manager. According to People, Logan "reminds her what it is to love, and through rediscovering the magic of Christmas, she rediscovers a part of her heart she closed off long ago."

Christmas at an Amish Bakery, Dec. 10 

Starring Alexandra Harris and Sean Koetting, Christmas at an Amish Bakery follows a former Amish book editor looking for inspiration for a new cookbook. She heads home to her Amish community for the holidays where she meets a "handsome local" who helps her in a mission to save her family's bakery. Airs Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. ET.

Dial S for Santa, Dec. 17

Starring Virgin River's Sarah Dugdale along with Julian Haig and Lynda Boyd, Dial S for Santa tells the story of an insurance investigator named Lana Lawton who picks up a real case while at home for Christmas. After her town experienced a string of robberies, Lawton teams up with the police chief. However, as People describes, they soon start to "see each other as more than co-investigators." Airs Sunday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. ET.

A Christmas Letter, Dec. 24

UPtv's season of holiday movies will come to a close with A Christmas Letter, airing Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. ET. The movie stars Colin Mochrie, David Lipper, Enrico Colantoni and Glenda Braganza, and is a "modern love story-meets-epic adventure." The film promises to bring the family together with help from pro hockey players. "A tale of how love, compassion and a little Christmas sparkle can bring us together when we need it the most," reads the movie's description.
