Over 20 years of marriage is a long time, but these two seem just as in love as Day 1. Funny enough, they can actually credit one of Candace's "Full House" co-stars for making their love story happen. From how they met and started dating to inside their happy famiy life, here's everything to know about Candace Cameron Bure and her husband Valeri.
Who is Candace Cameron Bure's Husband?
Valeri Bure was born in Moscow, but moved to North America with his father and brother after his brother Pavel was able to kick off his NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks. Bure, also a skilled professional hockey player, went on to play for Russia in the Winter Olympics, as well as play for numerous professional teams including the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, and Dallas Stars. Bure can actually thank his hockey career for giving him his introduction to his wife in 1995.
Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey on "Full House," was participating in a charity hockey game. He invited the whole cast out to watch and Candace was in attendance. She explained to Huff Post that she was already attracted to her future husband just watching him play on the ice for the first time.
"Dave was playing in a charity hockey game, and so he said, "Hey, there are these two really good Russian hockey players." It was Val and his brother Pavel [Bure]. He invited me to the game, he invited the whole cast, and I went with Lori Loughlin [who played Aunt Becky] and we sat there and were looking at these two really cute boys -- two cute men, I guess -- on the ice, and I was like, "I want to meet that one, the blonde one," which was Val. And that was it."

The couple went on their first date the very next day and have been together ever since. Bure even gifted Coulier a signed hockey stick that says "Thanks for Candace" which he still has to this day. On June 22, 1996, the couple tied the knot and wasted no time expanding their family. Daughter Natasha was born in 1998, and sons Lev and Maksim in 2000 and 2002. After over 20 years of marriage, the couple is still going strong.
"He makes me laugh a lot, which is a very good quality," she told Us Weekly. "He's just such a bold person. We always have interesting conversations. I love his passion and his strength so very much. He's so supportive of me and our children."
Their daughter Natasha has followed in her mother's footsteps and is a rising star over on Great American Family as well.
