To know him really is to love him. Canadian-born actor Victor Webster has graced our TV screens for years — first as a breakout soap opera star, then as one of Hallmark's most in-demand leading men. You've seen him in swoon-worthy romances opposite some of the network's biggest It-girls, including Danica McKellar, Jill Wagner and former Queen of Christmas Candace Cameron Bure. The 50-year-old actor made his Hallmark debut in 2012, and he shows no sign of slowing.

This Countdown to Christmas, Webster stars opposite Erica Cerra in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' "Mystery on Mistletoe Lane," a holiday-themed romp about a historic home and the secrets it holds. Beyond the characteristic charm and unforgettable dimpled smile Webster brings to the Hallmark Channel, the actor's filmography is incredibly eclectic. You might recall his starring role in "The Scorpion King 4," or his appearances in shows like "Minx," "Workin' Moms," "Sex and the City" and "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce." Of all the Hallmark hunks, Webster's résumé might just be the most varied.
It may surprise you, then, to learn that Webster came to acting relatively late in life, after a career in finance. What does he do with his spare time, and what's the story with his recent divorce? Below, we run down all the unknown details about Victor Webster, one of the most well-known Hallmark stars.
Who Is Victor Webster?
Like many Hallmark stars, Webster hails from Canada and was raised in Calgary, Alberta. Growing up, he was trained in kickboxing and martial arts, even obtaining his black belt. Though he was interested in acting and participated in school plays in his early years, he didn't actually pursue it as a career until the late '90s after he had been working as a stockbroker. He broke into Hollywood playing Nicholas Alamain on "Days of Our Lives" and continued booking consistent acting work from there.
Roles in "Mutant X," "Charmed," "Bringing Down the House," "Reba," "Melrose Place," "Criminal Minds," "Must Love Dogs" and a four-season stint as Carlos Fonnegra on "Continuum" followed his soap star days. He eventually made his Hallmark debut in 2012's "Puppy Love" and has been a regular with the network ever since.
Victor Webster's Hallmark Movies
Apparently, Webster is just as big a Hallmark fan as we are — and just as susceptible to the network's festive cheer. "It's nice getting the call from Hallmark," Webster told Media Village in a 2018 interview. "I do love working with them. To be honest, doing Christmas movies is fantastic because they have the best decorations! It really gets me in the Christmas spirit because they do it so well."
Since his 2012 debut, Webster has appeared in countless Hallmark films, including favorites like "The Magic Stocking," "Love Blossoms," "A Harvest Wedding," "Home for Christmas Day," "Homegrown Christmas," "Five Star Christmas," "Hearts of Winter" and the "Wedding Veil" film series. He's even appeared in episodes of "Chesapeake Shores" and the Danica McKellar series "Matchmaker Mysteries."
This year, Webster adds to his sparkling Hallmark Christmas filmography with "Mystery on Mistletoe Lane," co-starring Erica Cerra.
He's A Born Adventurer
Webster is an avid traveler and nature lover. When he's not filming, he enjoys water skiing, boxing and motorcycling. The actor regularly shares sweet snaps of his adventures with his beloved dog, Nova, on Instagram. The pair often go on hiking and camping trips, even kayaking and paddle boarding together.
Is Victor Webster Married?
Currently a bachelor, Webster was previously married to fellow Hallmark star and "One Tree Hill" alum Shantel VanSanten, pictured above. The pair met on the set of Hallmark's "Love Blossoms" in 2017 and tied the knot at three separate wedding celebrations in 2021.
In January 2023, Webster filed for divorce from VanSanten. There was no reason listed for the split in court filings, and neither Webster nor VanSanten has publicly commented on their separation.
