Thomas Rhett's daughters, Willa Gray and Ada James, met for the first time recently, and mom Lauren marked the adorable occasion by sharing a video of the sweet moment.

Rhett and wife Lauren adopted their oldest, Willa Gray, from Uganda. They finally brought Willa home in May, after a year-long adoption effort. They doubled their joy this month, at the birth of their second daughter, Ada James.
In the video, Rhett's mom holds Willa as Thomas' sister cradles little Ada. Willa sweetly points out Ada's bow, touches her tiny hand, and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
"Aww, you're such a good big sister," her grandma says.
When mom Lauren, still exhausted and sore from the birth experience, stands up to join them, she notices Willa pouting a bit.
"What is it?" she asks Willa, "Why are you sticking your lip out?"
At just under two years old, Willa is still pretty much a baby herself. Speaking from experience as a mom of three, it's always a little iffy introducing the older siblings to a new baby for the first time. Oldest kids can sometimes feel like they're getting the rug ripped out from under them by this new, adorable interloper.

It's a super sweet encounter though, and a little pouting is normal. Willa is sure to need lots of hugs and reassurances that she's not being replaced by baby Ada. The girls are close enough in age that they're likely to grow up best friends as well as sisters. We wish many congratulations to the happy family.
