Whataburger Bacon Now Available at H-E-B

H-E-B already sells a line of products from the awesome goodness known as Whataburger, so while the decision to add hickory smoked bacon to H-E-B shelves isn't exactly a surprise, it is a reason to cheer.

Whataburger began selling their original pork sausage at H-E-B stores in 2014 and the fast food chain, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, noted the positive response from customers. In a statement, the company said it was an easy decision to make bacon the newest addition to their grocery lineup.

"Whether fans are topping mac and cheese or adding crumbles to baked potatoes, we're proud to introduce Whataburger's Hickory Smoked Bacon and make it easier than ever for fans to cook up their favorites from home," said Mike Sobel, Whataburger vice president of retail. "H-E-B has been a great partner to us and we look forward to hearing about all the unique pairings our customers create with the newest addition to our grocery lineup."

Whataburger bacon is available in one-pound servings and includes 16 to 18 slices per package. Some suggestions for the bacon include bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers and bacon cheddar dip.

In addition to bacon and sausage, H-E-B sells Whataburger Original Pancake Mix, so you can go full Whataburger for breakfast (or dinner, we don't judge).

The Whataburger H-E-B line also includes condiments, such as their Buffalo Sauce, Salsa Verde, and Creamy Pepper Sauce. They also sell a Whataburger Starter Pack, which has a full size bottle of Honey BBQ Sauce, Jalapeño Ranch, Fancy Ketchup, Spicy Ketchup, Original Mustard, and Classic Honey Mustard.

The grocery chain is celebrating five years of their partnership with Whataburger. H-E-B is well known for their support of Texas-based and made food brands.

Best of all, if you're not lucky enough to live in Texas or within reasonable distance from a Whataburger drive-thru, you can order some Whataburger products from H-E-B online, including the starter pack. (One note: H-E-B can't deliver to California, so if you're in the Golden State, your best bet is to find a kind Texan who will send you a care package.)
