If you've noticed that most mainstream country songs on the radio today tend to focus on weekend parties rather than heartache and pain, you're not alone.

Rising country star William Michael Morgan decries the lack of sad country songs in his new song "Brokenhearted," an upbeat country shuffle that praises the mournful tunes of Hank Sr. and his disciples.
"Ain't no cryin' in your beer/ Ain't no she walked out the door," Morgan sings on the track. "Ain't nobody brokenhearted in country music anymore."
The video for the tune, directed by Colin Duffy, shows Morgan performing in a neon-lit room while a crew of folks set up a tiki bar behind him.
Written by Rhett Akins, J.T. Harding and Marv Green, the song is the latest release from Morgan. Earlier this month, he released a video for new song "Tonight Girl." There's no word yet on whether "Brokenhearted" and "Tonight Girl" will appear on a future album.
